Function of this blog

I have created this blog for really two reasons. First and foremost I wish for people to share in my interests. I can not specifically label all of those interests here for they do change and are quite varied. In the simplest terms one could say that I am a student of history and that will show in many of my posts on this blog. Secondly I hope to inform people about events in the past and present that they may have overlooked. While some of these musings may not be critically important one must remember that we are built on history and that history affects us in our daily lives.
